A-Trap was based on an environmentally friendly system that attracted mosquitos and entrapped them. The company's first product was an in-door mosquito trap that was placed in any room to keep it free of mosquitos. The trap had three major advantages over current solutions to keeping homes mosquito free: 1) No harmful chemicals were emitted, 2) Insects were trapped rather than zapped, a method that has been shown to release bacteria into the air, 3) Only mosquitos were attracted to the trap alleviating the ecologically unsound practice of killing all flying insects in an environment.
